Fourteen years of Karnataka admissions

We started in a one-room office in Vasanth Nagar because too many capable students were losing seats to paperwork. That is still the problem we solve.

Our story

Built out of a frustration

In 2011, our founder was helping a neighbour's son through KCET counselling. The boy had a good rank. He also had an income certificate issued in the wrong financial year, and by the time anyone noticed, the round had closed. He lost a seat he had genuinely earned.

That is not a rare story in Karnataka. Every admission season, thousands of students discover that the entrance exam was the easy part — that the real test is a maze of eligibility clauses, category proofs, option-entry mechanics and deadlines that nobody explains in one place.

Enrolla exists to close that gap. We are a small team of counsellors who have worked through every KCET and COMEDK cycle since 2011. We know which certificate a Kannada-medium claim needs, what the rural clause actually requires, how a mop-up round behaves when seats go vacant, and how to read a closing-rank table without fooling yourself.

We are deliberately small. We cap the number of students we take each season so that every family gets a named counsellor who knows their file. If we are full, we will tell you rather than take your money and thin ourselves out.

What we hold to

Four commitments, in writing

These are not marketing lines. They are the terms on which we take a student, and you can hold us to every one of them.

01

We take no money from colleges

Not referral fees, not per-admission commissions, not "marketing support". Our entire revenue is the fee you pay us. It means we have nothing to gain from steering you towards one institution over another, and nothing to lose by telling you a college is overpriced for what it offers.

02

We do not promise seats

Government and consortium quota seats are allotted by rank through a centralised process. No consultancy can move a name up that list, and any that claims otherwise is either lying or describing something you should not be part of. What we promise is that your rank will be used to its absolute fullest.

03

We tell you the uncomfortable version

If your rank will not reach the branch you have set your heart on, you will hear it in the first call rather than the last round. Families make better decisions with two months of warning than with two days. Optimism that costs you a year is not kindness.

04

Your data stays with us

We do not sell contact lists, and we do not pass your number to colleges, coaching centres, hostels or lenders. Marks cards and certificates are held only as long as your admission cycle needs them, then deleted. This is set out in full in our privacy policy.

The people

Who you'll actually be talking to

Four counsellors, one operations lead. No call centre, no rotating agents, no scripts.

Vinay Shastry

FOUNDER & LEAD COUNSELLOR

Fourteen KCET cycles and counting. Handles complex category and eligibility cases, and every file where a family is deciding between two very different options.

Meera Dinesh

SENIOR COUNSELLOR — COMEDK

Our COMEDK and out-of-state specialist. Works with families from Maharashtra, Telangana and the north-east who are navigating Karnataka's rules for the first time.

Arun Kumar B.

COUNSELLOR — BRANCH & CAREERS

A former lecturer who talks students through what each branch is really like day to day, and what the job market for it has looked like over the last five years.

Rakshitha N.

COUNSELLOR — DOCUMENTATION

Knows the certificate ecosystem inside out — which tahsildar office issues what, how long it takes, and what gets a document rejected at verification.

Sandeep Gowda

OPERATIONS & SCHEDULING

Runs the deadline calendar. If a round opens at 10 am on a Tuesday, Sandeep has already messaged you about it on Monday evening.

Want to join us?

We take on one or two counsellors a year, usually people who have worked in admissions or teaching. If that sounds like you, write to us.

Our method

Data first, then judgement

A shortlist is only as good as the evidence behind it. Here is what goes into ours before we ever say a college name out loud.

  • Three years of closing ranks, category-wise. Not a single year's cutoff, and never a general-category number quoted at a reserved-category student.
  • Round-by-round movement. A branch that closes at 4,000 in round one may close at 7,500 after mop-up. Knowing which branches move, and by how much, changes an option list entirely.
  • Placement data read properly. Median, not the headline package. Percentage placed, not the count. Which companies come for which branch, not a logo wall.
  • Total cost of the degree. Four years of tuition, hostel, one-time charges and the fee revisions that tend to arrive in year two.
  • The student's own aptitude. The numbers narrow the field. A conversation about what you actually enjoy decides the order.

Come and see whether we're a fit

The first session is free and genuinely no-obligation. Walk into the Vasanth Nagar office, or take it over a video call — whichever suits.
